Introduction
Monologue #1:
Part 1 - Tiffany, age 41, event coordinator who works from home while also raising her 8 month old and 3 year old.
Part 2 - I absolutely love being a mom, but I never have any time to workout. If the toddler is sleeping, the baby is awake. If the baby is sleeping, the toddler is awake. The closest workout facility has child care hours, but they don't work with my busy schedule of working part time and trying to keep up with my family.
Monologue #2:
Part 1 - Samantha, age 36, very active mother of 2 who works out 5-6 hours per week and eats what the USDA would consider a very "healthy" diet. Megan isn't a slacker by any means which is all the more confusing as to why she continues to carry an extra 10-15 pounds of body fat.
Part 2 - I workout regularly and eat healthy, but nothing seems to be changing in my appearance. I can't seem to reach my goals no matter which diets I try or how many miles I run and classes I take. It must just be my age and my genetics. I guess I'm just supposed to carry this extra layer of fat around with me. I've tried just about everything I've read on blogs and in magazines.
Monologue #3:
Part 1 - Jamie, age 52, small business owner working hard to grow her business and earn a more comfortable income. Carol is obviously a driven individual, but after making business decisions day in and day out, the last thing Carol wants to do is research what goes into designing an effective workout plan. Carol also values expertise and knows hiring an expert will take her much further than fumbling through the loads of training information that is circulating.
Part 2 - My professional life is buzzing and I'm making great strides, but I can't seem to find a fitness program that fits into my busy schedule. I wish someone would just tell me what to do when I step into the gym since I can't commit to a class schedule and meeting with a personal trainer to walk me through sessions 3 times per week isn't within my budget.
Hello Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteIt appears that the problem you’re trying to address is finding a work-out plan/solution for professional females who are trying to balance a busy schedule highlighted by family and career with maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The solution therefore appears to be a work-out plan/program for females who want to have access to a physical work out program that is flexible in terms of location (home or gym), and fits into their schedule and budget. Hence, they are looking for convenience, flexibility at a reasonable cost.
Hi Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteAfter reading the customer complaints, I feel like you are trying to find a solution to solve a schedule issue. I find it hard to find time as well when working, going to school, etc. To have a viable customer, the concept needs to be convenient and affordable. There seems to be many substitute products that can satisfy this need. So, having a proper mix of convenience and affordability would be an important factor.
Sounds like an interesting problem. One of the issues that I have is trying to get in a workout, particularly when I am on travel. Most of the gyms are marginal at hotels. You are always eating out as well. I also think that apartments are growing smaller as people move back into the city, so it is increasingly more difficult to get equipment into those spaces. I am interested in finding out how you solve the problem.
ReplyDeleteI also hope that you consider how the elderly can do exercise. My mom is in her 80s and can’t do a PX box or other high intensity training regime. With more and more baby boomers retiring there should be something that works for older clients.
